Known in Japanese as okonomiyaki, this savory pancake is made with a variety of ingredients and upon frying, it can be topped with sauce and on occasion pickled vegetables.
There are many okonomiyaki grill shops in Japan. But there are two well-known types: Osaka (mixed) and Hiroshima (layered) styles. All the okonomiyaki dishes in the Cooking Mama series are prepared Osaka-style.
