Cold Jellied Azuki Bean Paste is a dish introduced in Cooking Mama: World Kitchen.

Info[]

This recipe is based on mizu yōkan, a jellied dessert made from azuki bean paste, agar, and sugar. The high water content in the mixture is what gives the dessert a light, soft texture.

Traditionally when there were no refrigerators available, farmers would fill the liquid inside bamboo tubes and set them over the cool river water. Even now, as an image of authenticity and traditional appeal, mizu yōkan can be sold in bamboo tubes over other conventional methods.
