A steamed bun (baozi), is popular in Chinese themed restaurants. It is filled with meat or vegetables and eaten with vinegar and soy sauce. There are many forms of Chinese buns, with the most well-known being barbecued pork, juicy broth, sweet bean paste, lotus seed paste, jams, sweet mustard, black sesame paste, pickle and spices, and eggs. The type of bun made in Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends is based on a variant known in Japanese as hanamaki.
